Last weekend suspension groups and individuals from four states came together to participate in the August meeting hosted by AGRO Tulsa at Chandler Park. Although it was extremely warm out, it couldn’t have been a better setting. The area of the park chosen was a shady opening where three bluffs came together, with plenty of room for everyone to relax out of the way while people were setting up, suspending, and swinging. Despite the temperatures, the day was filled with smiles and laughs from everyone there, especially those who were going up.
I really can’t say enough good things about everyone I met that day. Every time a person was preparing to go up, the woods were filled with cheering, words of encouragement, and applause for them. You could see the genuine friendship and caring among so many of the people there as they helped each other get off the ground. Watching Mike and Rick work with those who were apprehensive or nervous about going up showed me exactly why I’ve heard so many positive things about them and the entire AGRO group. I was equally impressed with how well everyone worked together and cooperated to make the day go smoothly. It says so much about everyone there, and the groups they were representing. As they were all working to get the rigging set up and people in the air, you couldn’t tell who was in one crew or another. There were no cliques keeping to themselves, they all pitched in and made it an outstanding day for everyone involved.
I went out there only knowing two people, and a little worried I would be a stranger intruding on their event. By the time I left I was getting hugged goodbye, and trying to keep up with the names of all the people who made me feel so at home. I would like to thank everyone who was there for having us, AGRO Tulsa for putting on such a wonderful event, and Shannon for sweating her butt off taking pictures.
Be sure to check out everyone who worked to make this day happen:

A.G.R.O. is the most amazing group of people I have ever met. I am so thankful to have this group, whom I consider Family, in my life! I agree so much with this article about how much everyone comes together. This past Sunday at the Houston chapter A.G.R.O.meet we discussed how great it is that weather a person is part of Core or DHS or any other crew, we all come together, have a great time, support each other & love each other. I truly love each and every one of you A.G.R.O. Freaks!! <3 Bridgid
