In the immortal words of Steve Albini “Well, I don’t know why we come here. Guess I just needed the bang. We walk in the beef, and then we pull on the rope and then the, then the hammer comes down. Cables! Cables! Cables!” Big Black? Anyone? Anyone? OK so the song Cables has nothing do with this suspension, but …um …anyway **Clears Throat** This next set of photos, shot by Circle 23 are beautiful and amazing BUT they do come with a very serious warning.

The use of cables in place of hooks creates a very difficult set of variables that affect sterility and increase the chances of cross contamination. Do not attempt a cable suspension without proper training and experience.

Twelve 6 guage piercings with 150 ft of plastic coated steel cable.
Lana Guerra: model
Dana Dinius: piercer
Philly Chris Hoffman: piercer
Black Kellan: piercing tech
Circle 23: photographer

From Circle 23: “When she went up she was hanging crooked. We started trying figure out how to adjust the weight equally. Dana finally told her to wiggle a little and when she did gravity settled her perfectly since the cable was continuous and not individually rigged like some hook suspensions. After the gravitational adjustment she was super comfortable and said that it didn’t feel like hooks, which resulted in her staying up in the air for so long. Lana hung for about 2 hours only came down to pee as soon as we took her down she started bleeding so we told her she was done for the night even though she wanted go up again”

Circle 23 would like to thank and credit Andrew S of Swingshift Sideshow for showing him and Dana Dinius how to use the cable.

this seriously was my favorite suspension ever! it was like being at an amusement park playing on a swing……… and the cable felt like a buttered up noodle that moved through my skin
All these pictures are amazing though, the last one is my favorite.

Thank you Allen and Misty for the showcase!
the 3rd shot is the one where she was hanging tilted and had her shake a little to settle the cable into perfect pendulum weight distribution .
