When Hook Life started a couple months ago, we really weren’t sure how we were going to pull it off. Blogging may seem easy enough, but when dealing with such an important subject, a lot of thought and care needs to go into each piece. It often takes a tremendous of time sourcing images, attaining usage permission and of course getting the stories behind the suspensions. We’ve been fortunate to have had several excellent guest writers, but no one has dedicated more time than Misty AKA Southtownbaby. Thank You Misty! You Rock!

The photos above and below were taken during Misty’s Coma, cut down to a Resurrection.
Over the years I have witnessed and facilitated more suspensions that can I can count, and this one is still one of my favorites.

The rigging came together perfectly. The two transitions went smoothly. (12pt coma to 8 pt res to 6 pt res) And, the whole time she just smiled and glowed.

I cannot say that it’s rare to find people with such a love of suspension, but Misty’s volunteer work with this site has really shown how important our art form is to her.

Misty it’s been a joy working with you and I’m thankful to have you as a part of the Hook Life team!

If you would like to contribute as a Hook Life writer or just have some of your suspensions feature here on the site, please drop us a line through the contact page.
